How to create language that speaks to your audience while showing how EVERYONE can use your services
Here’s the problem we all have to deal with when marketing or promoting our services.
We want to speak to everyone because we want the most business possible.
But, we know that generic messaging just doesn’t work. It’s not personal and it doesn’t connect with anyone.
So how do we change our messaging to connect intimately with our target audience while still inviting everyone in the door?
There’s some good news here that’s totally not intuitive but once you see it you won’t be able to unsee it.
Speaking to one person speaks to everyone.
How is that possible?
Humans all share the same thoughts and feelings, just with different situations, it’s how we can get along given the madness that is this world.
Let me illustrate with a couple examples:
You know that frustrating feeling when you want to impress your dinner guests but you can quite get your lemon pie to taste right?
Doesn't it suck when you're in a relationship and you really want to feel connected...but you actually feel alone?
You get thirsty, what like 25 times / day, but you're stuck with one of those tiny water bottles that you have to keep filling up again and again...
Even if you don't bake pies, aren't in a relationship, or already have a giant water bottle, we can all relate to wanting to impress people, not wanting to feel alone, and getting thirsty.
When you speak to one person you really speak to all of us.
