Quick sales tip: how to sell people on your business before they ever talk to you
We’re all used to thinking of sales as the process of convincing someone to buy something.
But that’s not what good sales is.
Good sales is having a genuine conversation to help someone make the best decision they can.
Those are truly fun conversations, it’s like helping a friend decide which pants or gadget to buy.
But how do you get to the point where sales feels like those fun conversations instead of scary, stressful ones?
By selling your audience before they ever meet you.
Let me give you an example:
A bunch of podcasts I listen to just started advertising a keto cereal called Magic Spoon. The podcasters really seemed to like it, so before I ever went to the Magic Spoon website, I was sold. It made Magic Spoon’s job really easy.
Another example. A new client found me because they saw the, “made by Worth The Journey” mark at the bottom of one of my other clients’ websites.
You can do the same thing for your business. Get creative by creating content like videos, blogs, appearing on podcasts, doing small free workshops, or any other way to show without telling, that you’re the good stuff.
