When disaster strikes people do one of two things.
When disaster strikes and we go through a rough time, people tend to do one of two things.
1. They harden, become tougher, more guarded, and meaner. They become less forgiving, more judgemental, and more self-righteous that the world did this to them.
Or
2. They soften, become more flexible, more understanding of other’s experiences, and stronger. They live with their heart more open, and are willing to take risks because they’ve already survived tragedy and pain.
