Should I Use a Sticky Nav Menu That Stays at the Top When Scrolling?

Website Worth The Journey Seattle

Should you use a sticky navigation menu on your website?

Well first of all what is a sticky nav menu?

It’s the kind of menu on your website that stays fixed at the top when you scroll.

For a while it was all the rage, but now it’s not so much in fashion.

So when should you use it?

Sticky menus are good to use on one-page websites where the menu just jumps you around to different points on the page.

Other than that, they just end up taking up space, and because people are used to scrolling their entire screen, it feels a little claustrophobic and blocks the scrolling action.

So unless you have a one page website like an event or a special product, stay away from sticky nav menus.
