The 3 P’s of entrepreneurship
Most people don't realize that when you're starting your own business, you're also starting the path of entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship is all about risk-taking, in your business, in finances, and honestly in every little marketing direction.
But there are a few core principles to running a business that have stood the test of time. They are the 3 p's of entrepreneurship
1. Patience
Play the long-term game, not the short-term scramble. (But, and this is a bit of a cheat, you also need to get good at the short-term game too.) The difference is that you want to live from your long-term marketing and business strategies and use short-term promotions sparingly. No one likes to be spammed.
2. Persistence
Sticking around for a long time is perhaps the biggest marketing strategy you can use. It's strange because it's not really a strategy, but this is part of the "consistency is key" principle. Stick around and people will hear about you.
3. Passion
Your passion matters. Keep bringing what you're passionate about into your business and you'll be able to stick around for a long time because you won't get burned out or stuck for very long.
What other entrepreneur skills do you think might be helpful to those just starting out?
